Job Description

As a Remote Systems Administrator at Ultimate Protection Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of our information systems and network infrastructure. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with our IT team to manage and support our IT infrastructure across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

– Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, networks, and other IT systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.

– Perform routine system upgrades, patches, and backups to mitigate security risks and maintain system reliability.

– Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity in a timely manner.

– Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard against cyber threats and unauthorized access.

– Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT systems to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.

– Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, both remotely and on-site, to address IT-related inquiries and issues.

– Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role, preferably in a remote or distributed environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and stakeholders.
